I was told this by a studio intern in the States who is a mate of my cousin.
He was chatting with some of the other staff and heard that with the success of D+D and Doom, that GW was making a film. The word around the table was that they had given the details to Sony and work had already commenced - the plot had been drawn up and he was told the basic plot which is as follows:
The title is 'Last Chancer'
The Last Chancers are deployed to Xavis V - a hive world, which has come under attack from the Chaos Legions. The Last Chancers are tasked with a dangerous mission, to destroy a large armaments factory and in doing so deny the Chaos warmachine of its immediate weapons facility and storage areas.
Jonathan Woodward Co-Wrote it but the other details are still sketchy.
He promised me that more details are emerging at the moment and said that these are the actors already 'down' for it.
George Hertzberg - to play 'Corporal "Snakes" Hydeski
Brian Thompson - to play Rikin Flyir
He said that Kage and Shaeffer (sp?) are also going to make an appearance.
The word is that they will appear in several scenes, but will not be main characters.
The budget is said to be around £20m, with a proposed release in late 2007.
GW and Sony are soon to 'officially' announce the film with full cast details, but from what the 'contact' has said they will see the 'light of day' before this.
He said that definately:
a) There will be Space Marines
b) There will be several 'epic' battle scenes that will 'blow your mind' - featuring a vast charge by Cultists at the Last Chancers conjuring images of Zulu.

Destaquemos....El titulo lo primero, es el nombre en ingles de los Salvajes de Schaeffer, como muchos deciamos, si salia una peli lo interesante sería que fuera la GI la protagonista no los marines. Kage y el propio Schaeffer no seran protagonistas, si es asi es una jugada inteligente, ya que pase lo que pase no tocaran su historia personal en el juego. Habra marines Espaciales...vale, pero leales o del Caos. Ya veremos...

Hombre, como protagonistas han cogido a una unidad bastante significativa, aunque, cultistas y tropas penales, ¿cual es la diferencia? ambos han hechl mal al emperador.
Bueno, eso de la batalla de proporciones "epicas" me ha molado...mucho, imaginaos, penales al estilo de "toro" gritando a lo cow-boy mientras disparn plomo al humo con una sonrisa en la boca.
