"We have altered our packaging to this style of clampack simply because it is sturdier and more resilient than the bags we have used previously. As you can imagine, we do receive a number of complaints due to kits being damaged in transit and this is one step towards trying to reduce this down. It will also have various logistical benefits to our Warehouse team when packing show stock for the various Games Days we attend and for the staff working those events as well.
In terms of the resin mix, GW as a whole uses many different types of resin, depending on the kit in question. Some are used primarily by the main range, some mostly by Forge World, such as the hollow resin we've begun to design scenery kits in. As you can imagine, there's also some overlap in materials if one type of resin is perhaps more suitable for a given kit than another - especially with smaller conversion kits such as the Renegade parts shown in the link below.
The Finecast process was originally tested on Forge World kits, the resin is just a slightly different mix. To clarify further, 'Finecast' resin isn't that different to the resin we have used for many years and continue to use now, it's just a slightly finer grade of resin which takes extremely small and delicate detail slightly better. It's worth also noting that 'Finecast' is a Citadel brand; Forge World and Citadel are seperate parts of Games Workshop.
We always strive to make improvements to our manufacturing processes, and part of that occasionally involves altering our resin mix."
Que usan una resina que parece finecast pero no lo es, porque finecast es una marca de GW y ellos no son GW...que huevacos XD
